Here is the exit to the Sword Coast. In this town, undead such as ghouls or ghasts may periodically arrive and attack anyone in sight.
Here is a Blacksmith’s Workbench that you can use for making armor and weapons.
Here is the Port Llast garrison. Go inside and you’ll witness an argument between a Doomguide of Kelemvor named Septimund and the leader of the garrison, Rynn Sphepherde. Septimund will leave once rebuffed.
Keep in mind that your objective here is going to vary according to which merchant cartel is sponsoring you. If you are with the Forgotten Lords, your mission is to restore trade between Neverwinter and Port Llast by dealing with the storms battering the port and the undead plaguing the town itself. Who is left in charge of Port Llast in your wake won’t particularly matter to the Forgotten Lords. To deal with the undead problem, you will have to travel to the nearby cemetary of Gothaladreum. To deal with the storms, you’ll have to visit a Priestess of Umberlee. She can be found in the nearby Priory of the Depths. Dealing with these problems earns you 500xp and 1200gp.
The Circle of Friends will want you to deal with the undead and storm problems as well, but they will also want you to liberate Port Llast of Luskan occupation. How you proceed from here is up to you. One way is to kill Rynn and the rest of the Luskans right away. You can then loot the Garrison Key off his body and then free Haeromos. Or you can do Rynn’s tasks for him now, then kill him and free Haeromos afterwards. If you kill Rynn and free Haeromos right away, it will be Haeromos that wants you to deal with the undead and sea storm problems. If you did the tasks for Rynn, he’ll also give you the Seal of Illusk as a reward as well. If you kill him right away, you can loot it off his corpse. Once you’ve taken care of all the problems in Port Llast, the storms, the undead, and the Luskans, Haeromos will give you the Sigil of the Last Port as a reward. You can also head back to the Circle of Friends.
The Fated Winds will want you to deal with the undead and sea storm problems as well, but they will want Luskan left firmly in control of Port Llast.
Here is Septimund, who can be convinced to join your party to help end the undead menace. He will be available as an interim party member while the undead problem is in progress. If you manage to resolve the situation so that Nya abandons her efforts involving necromancy, then Septimund will be available on an ongoing basis.
Here is the Armed Alliance Inn, where you can rest for 20gp. It also has a registry book, if you want to change party members. There will also be a man named Eommar, who can fill you in on the history of a powerful spirit residing in the nearby cemetary. This is a prerequisite if you want to call on the spirit’s aid in raising a skeletal army to attack the Luskans. This can also help restore trade for your sponsoring merchant cartel.
Here is the Luskan pirate ship, the Platinum Pride. If you’re intent on liberating Port Llast from Luskan rule, you can hire a nearby Priestess of Umberlee to sink this ship for you so that you’ll have less Luskans to fight later on.
If you helped stop the storms battering the coast, either by killing the Priestess of Umberlee in the Priory of the Depths or by placating her with tribute, you’ll find a merchant named Parzeeche here. He sells some of the top grade gems like a Blue Diamond and a King’s Tear, as well as the following:
