Stuck in Highcliff
Now I travel to Highcliff, and get treated to a cutscene where a ship gets scuttled by Lizardfolk. I am apparently stuck in town until I can figure out how to solve some of Highcliff's problems. Grishnakh can be pickpocketed for three Cure Light Wounds Potions.
Sailors' Brawl
I go up the pathway and to the middle of town at #5. Some Sailors pick a fight with me. The dialogue options are based on being eager to reciprocate, or trying to back out. The former wins influence with Khelgar but loses it with Elanee, while the latter wins influence with Elanee and loses it with Khelgar. I chose the latter, as there will be plenty of opportunities to up my influence with Khelgar later on. The fight itself is pretty easy to win through straight melee combat.
Branson Marlek and Edario
There will be a couple of merchants in Highcliff, Branson Marlek at #3 and Edario at #6. I'm not interested in buying anything from them, since it is mostly lower-tier wares that won't have any lasting value for me and the party can get by in the interim. Neeshka does, however, grab the opportunity to pickpocket their gold. She also nabs a Studded Leather Armor +1 from Edario, which I'll eventually sell during Act II.
Disturbance at Par's House
I head over to the house at #9. Par wants me to clear out the thieves that have broken into the house. I go inside. Elanee casts Barkskin on herself, Valeria, and Khelgar. Valeria buffs herself up with Ghostly Visage, Bladeweave, and Mirror Image. I rush in, and get attacked by several Sailors led by Dulahey. Valeria, Neeshka, and Khelgar dive right in. Elanee carefully positions herself so that her Call Lightning will catch several Sailors and at the same time won't damage any of the containers. The Beetle Familiar gets in a Shocking Grasp or two.
Dulahey leaves behind an Alchemical Silver Scimitar. I loot the containers for any loot they might have. The chest in the west room has a Ring of Resistance +1, which Neeshka equips for now, as well as a Ruby. I hold onto the gem in order to enchant an interim weapon for Casavir.
I inform Par and get rewarded with 200xp, as well as two each of Potions of Bear's Endurance, Potions of Cure Serious Wounds, and Potions of Speed.
Ship Sabotage
I speak with Captain Flinn, who's near Edario, and he explains more about the situation.
I next speak to Elder Mayne at #11, where I agree to investigate why the Lizardfolk are scuttling any ship that tries to leave Highcliff. Elder Mayne marks the location of Shandra Jerro's farm on my world map.
Shandra's Farm
I now travel to Shandra's farm and speak to her at length about Highcliff's troubles. Lizardfolk burn her farm to the ground.

Here is the parallel video for Zarathos, where he deliberately provokes Shandra with a callous reply after the Lizardfolk burn her farm down.
Either way, she has in the meantime shown the location of the Highcliff Castle Ruins, which is my next destination.
