Video-based Walkthrough for Neverwinter Nights 2
BISHOP, M CE RANGER 11
Bishop will come into the party already having all he needs to be a devastating archer. His feats allow him to wither down the opposition from afar with many arrows that will often inflict critical hits with triple damage. I therefore spend his later level ups rounding things out so that he can become an effective melee fighter as well. The key to this development is to purchase the Headsman Falchion for him which can inflict vorpal hits. The power of the Headsman gets augmented by getting the Cleave and Greater Cleave feats for him. Bishop is not a tank but a raw damage dealer and straight up killer, whether it involves raining arrows on his foes at a distance or decapitating any that get close enough to force him to draw his vorpal weapon.

Bishop adds a +1 to Constitution to round out his Constitution score to 16. After that, he raises his Strength to 18. In combination with a Girdle of Cloud Giant Strength, he'll be able to wreak havoc on his enemies from afar with his Duskwood Bow, or devastate his enemies up close with his vorpal falchion, depending on the situation.

Bishop emphasizes Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Search, Set Trap, Spot and Survival.
Feats
Starting Feats:
- Power Critical (Longbow)
- Improved Critical (Longbow)
- Improved Initiative
- Point Blank Shot
- Toughness
- Track
- Weapon Focus (Longbow)
12th level: Power Attack - Bishop already has everything he needs to be an effective archer, so now he starts to round things out by developing his ability to fight up close with a two-handed weapon when he needs to.
13th level: Camouflage - He won't suffer any movement penalties while in stealth mode.
15th level: Cleave - An extra attack after successfully killing the intial target. It's also a lead up to Great Cleave.
17th level: Hide in Plain Sight - Allows Bishop to go into stealth mode even when enemies are in plain sight. It's certainly not as useful as for Rogue sneak-attack based builds, but it still has its advantages. For example, Bishop is a damage dealer, not a tank. If he finds himself getting swarmed by multiple foes, he can go into stealth, and then take up a more advantageous position that allows him to attack from the flank. Attacking from stealth also will not inflict sneak attack damage for Bishop, but it will still allow him to make an attack that will deny his target its Dexterity bonus to armor class.
18th level: Great Cleave - If anything justifies taking Great Cleave, it's a vorpal weapon with a very good DC of 20 against Reflex saving throws. It is entirely conceivable that Bishop could then insta-kill everything close to him with a single sweep of his blade.
Inventory
- Primary Weapon: Curses of Ember (Duskwood Longbow +4, +6 Mighty) - Khelgar crafted the bow from a Longbow Mold and two Duskwood Planks. Qara adds a +4 enhancement bonus to it. I develop Bishop so that he is able to take full advantage of the +6 Mighty feature.
- Secondary Weapon: Head Hunter (Falchion +4, Keen, Vorpal DC=20) - I bought the Headsman from Fibba in the Docks District, and then enchanted it to raise its enhancement bonus to +4 and add to the Keen property. Bishop will fire away with his arrows while they're at a distance, but he can become just as deadly once they close in. In combination with the Great Cleave feat, Bishop could conceivably kill everything within reach with a single sweep of his blade.
- Helmet: Watchman's Helm (+8 Listen, +8 Search, +8 Spot) - Looted from Logram Eyegouger. Bishop is the natural candidate for this helmet, as it adds bonuses to skills that he has developed.
- Amulet: Old Man Morris' Necklace (+3 natural bonus to armor class, +2 Hide, +2 Survival) - Obtained through one of the Greycloak special missions at Crossroad Keep, and a natural fit for Bishop.
- Armor: Greenleaf (+5 Leather Armor, +5 Hide, +10 Move Silently) - Purchased from Caerlyna Seerar in Crossroad Keep during Act III. Bishop will have a Dexterity of 22 after he wears the Favor of Iluim Lura gloves. That allows him to take full advantage of the +6 maximum Dexterity bonus of Leather Armor. The skill bonuses will also help his use of Hide in Plain Sight.
- Cloak: Cloak of the Bat (+2 deflection bonus to armor class, Darkvision, immunity to Darkness, +10 to Hide) - He gets his deflection bonus to armor class from his cloak, which frees up his ring slots for other rings that I had in mind for him. It also adds a +10 to Hide, which allows him to take better advantage of his Hide in Plain Sight once he obtains his 17th level. Immunity to Darkness and Darkvision are sugar on top.
- Gloves: Favor of Ilum Lura (+4 Dexterity, Rangers only) - Purchased from the special inventory of Haljal Throndor. They're perfect for Bishop. The gloves allow him to take full advantage of the maximum +6 Dexterity bonus of his Greenleaf leather armor. They increase his ability to hit his targets with his bow. They will also increase his Reflex saving throws and thus improve his use of his Evasion ability as well.
- 1st Ring: Heart of Ilum Lura (+2 saving throws, Rangers only) - Purchased from Dayne Lenneth. Items that raise saving throws are always welcome, but more so when they improve a Ranger's use of Evasion.
- 2nd Ring: Purple Dragon Ring (immunity to poison) - Purchased from Reylene in the Docks District. Bishop will eventually turn on me, so other characters are ahead in line for the better rings. Still, immunity to poison is useful for any character who engages in melee combat regularly.
- Belt: Belt of Cloud Giant Strength (+8 Strength) - Custom made. Bishop is a damage dealer, so naturally he should emphasize Strength for purposes of wielding his two-handed falchion. Greater strength will also allow him to take full advantage of the +6 Mighty feature of his Duskwood Longbow.
- Boots: Boots of Striding +6 - More hit points and a higher Fortitude saving throw bonus is commendable for any warrior-character.
