Endless Paths - Level 4

Endless Paths, Level 4

Resolution

I start off at #1 on the map of the fourth level. I go forward and have to fight a trio of Slimes, which I kill easily enough.

The bridge to the east has several Stone Beetles and an Adra Beetle. Here I show another tactical theme. Kana summons a Phantom behind the enemies once he gets the chance. Grieving Mother then uses Ectopsychic Echo on the Phantom, so that all the enemies get damaged in the line in between.

At #3 will be a large group of Slimes and Beetles led by a Greater Black Ooze. I take some time to wear down the foremost enemies. Once I get the chance, I set up the same Phantom-Ectopsychic Echo tactic and have Grieving Mother run around so that the Greater Black Ooze and its nearby minions get damaged multiple times.

The Greater Black Ooze will leave behind a Sabre called Resolution. It makes an ideal interim weapon for Alliria, with its bonus base damage and its bonus to Critical Hit Modifier. The increased chance to convert Grazes to Hit is sugar on top.

The video concludes with the party going back up to the third level.

Endless Paths, Level 3

Llawran's Stick

Now I'm at #19 on the map of the 3rd level. I make my way towards the statue in the northwest corner at #5, and select the option to insert the Resolution Sabre into it. Don't worry, doing so won't result in the permanent loss of the Sabre. Doing so will result in the door at #6 opening.

I loot the vase and the trapped sarcophagus at #8. Now I loot a Quarterstaff called Llawran's Stick from the trapped sarcophagus at #7. Either party will just sell it.

Once that is finished, I get Resolution back from the statue at #5. Now I enchant the Sabre so as to add the Burning Lash Enchantment, as well as the Kith Slaying Enchantment. That still leaves me enough room to add the Exceptional Quality enchantment once I can get a Vithrack Brain and a Ruby. It will not be an item in my final inventory, meaning I won't invest any Sky Dragon or Kraken Eyes into it. So I may as well do things this way.

*Evil* Zakara prefers to add the Corrosive Lash enchantment instead.

Now I go up the stairs at #12, and rest up in the courtyard of Caed Nua.

The video concludes with me returning to the 3rd level, and going down the stairs at #19 in order to return to the 4th level.

Trolls in Endless Paths - Level 4

I go near the bridge again, and easily kill a Troll by itself.

After that, I go back and this time go along the south hallway. There will be a large group of Trolls in the room with points labelled #4 and #5. I start with the usual letting the Tanks absorb the initial onslaught, letting the damage-dealers hit from the sides, and having Kana summon Phantoms whenever he can. This time though, Grieving Mother grabs any and every opportunity she can to trace an Ectopsychic Echo line between herself and another ally that will catch as many Trolls as she can. Sometimes it's a matter of catching a couple of Trolls between herself and the backstabbing Orlan Rogue. Sometimes it's putting Sagani on the other side of the fight shooting arrows as the set up. I manage to wear them down with minimal Health loss. I loot the containers at #4 and #5.

I continue on and loot the vase at #6. Another lone Troll soon appears, and I kill it easily enough.

Persistence

I continue eastwards, fighting groups of Trolls and Slimes, and using the same tactics and strategies. A corpse at #8 has a Hunting Bow called Persistence, which proves to be a good interim bow for Sagani. It's key feature is its ability to inflict a damage over time effect on its target, which in turn will expose the target to Ituumak's Predatory Sense ability. The chance to convert Grazes to Hits is sugar on top.

Bloodstone Overseer Seal

There is a trapped chest at #9 that has an Expedition Log Page and the Bloodstone Overseer Seal. Grabbing the latter item triggers the Seals of the Endless Paths task.

The rest of the video consists of the good party killing off the remainder of the Slimes, Trolls and Beetles inhabiting the level, using the same tactical themes previously described.

*Evil* 6th Level

The evil party will, after having acquired the Seal, have enough experience to advance to their 6th levels. I'm not particularly invested in what Kana will get, since he's a temporary member.

Zakara gets the Two Weapon Style talent, which is the natural choice. It increases her Attack Speed by 20% when she's attacking with her pair of Sabres. Anything that will increase the chances of triggering her Remember Rakhan Fields power is a must.

Eder and Durance both get the Superior Deflection talent, which is always sensible for any character that packs a shield.

Aloth acquires the Penetrating Blast talent, which provides a +5 Damage Reduction Bypass for his Blast Talent. That would be meaningful enough when he uses his usual Scepter, but it also makes his use of Kalakoth's Minor Blights that much more effective.

He also learns the Expose Vulnerabilities spell, which reduces Damage Reduction and Deflection only for enemies caught within its area of effect. Can be useful for softening up enemies when party members and numerous enemies are interlocked with each other in an intense physical confrontation.

There is one more group of enemies left before I can reach the 5th level of Endless Paths. I manage to lure the Trolls, one at a time, away from the others and kill them off individually. That makes the Disease Pudding and pair of Swamp Slimes that much easier to finish off afterwards.

A hidden cache at #10 has a random weapon. The stairs at #11 lead to the fifth level.
