To Neketaka
The Huaro
I am now at #4 on the World Map. I sail almost due east until I reach the wreck of a ship that had been known as The Huaro at #10.
Getting anything out of it means approaching it on a skiff. Alliria makes an Athletics check of 4, and everyone else in the party has at least one point in Athletics, so the party makes its way to the Deck without any Injuries.
Mirke makes either a Perception check of 12 or a Streetwise check of 7 to get some money, as well as the Laughing Imp Cameo.
Ire of Death's Herald
I sail north, and then Berath suddenly summons Alliria into the In Between for a conference with the Gods. The special replies have the potential to gain a Death's Herald power that can be used once per Rest. See this page for the Quest.
Alliria tended to choose dialogue options that earned Passionate disposition, which often amounted to Aggressive options for purposes of this conference with the Gods. That means her Visage of Death's Herald power gets replaced with Ire of Death's Herald. It's the same as Visage, but with the difference of providing the Strong (+5 Might) Inspiration when activated.
She awakens in the Below-Deck of her ship. A nearby drawer has the Fragments of the Blade of Endless Paths and the Fragments of Whispers of Yenwood. These can be used to forge weapons later on.
*Evil* Mien of Death's Herald
The conversation plays out a little differently for the evil party, partly because of differences in the POE 1 history, and partly because of different dialogue choices on the part of Zarathos. He ends up with the Mien of Death's Herald power.
The Scuttler
I attack a Principi ship called The Scuttler captained by an Orlan Barbarian named Beggar Winfruth. The Crew is surprisingly tough should a low-level party try to board it, and the loot won't be appreciably better for it. But with only one Dyrwoodan Hog Nose, and 40 Hull Health and 20 Sail Health, it is ridiculously easy to sink in naval combat. Meaning that it's there to initiate new players into risk-free naval combat. I sink it without trouble and go on my way.
I sail north and sink a Deadfire Merchant Ship on the way. I reach Neketaka at #17 on the World Map.
It is time to dock at Queen's Berth.
