THE TRIAL OF IMPULSE

In this small room you will find the game's last mandatory fight. Depending on your alignment you have to kill either Ignus or Vhailor. When you have done this, examine the room before going to the crystal in the middle of the room.

The room contains several statues of yourself. Apparently it is a kind of gallery over your past lives.

Area Overview

You arrive in this room at 1.

If you are of Good or Neutral alignment, you will find Ignus at 2. You will have to kill him before you can move on in the game.

If you are Evil, you will find Vhailor at 3. In this case, it is him you have to kill.

At 4 you will find a Sounding Stone lying on the floor. Pick it up and "Use" it from your inventory to discover that it contains a message from an earlier incarnation to his companions (Morte, Dak'kon, Deionarra, and Xachariah). He figured out that the crystal in the center of the room is a dimensional prison that segments the soul. You also get a tip that he left supplies for his companions in the base of one of the statues.

You can find the following supplies in the base of the statue at 5:

Once you are done with the room, move to the crystal at 6 and touch the crystal to be teleported to the Maze of Reflections.
