White Tower

Ice Keep, Level 1

Shimmering Curtain

I begin at the stairs at 0N 11E of the map of the first level of the Ice Keep. I fight random monsters at 1N 10E. I sit on the square at 1N 11E until Talia's and Mordred's Spell Points are fully recharged.

I win several random fights on the way to the northeast corner at 1N 9E, 0N 8E, 6N 8E, 8N 8E, 8N 9E, 9N 9E, 2N 9E, 3N 10E, 3N 11E, 3N 9E, 5N 9E, 6N 10E and 8N 10E.

A shimmering magical curtain is at 9N 11E, along with the clue: "Lift the evil, then counter it, False door frees, True door."

I cast the following spells in order: Levitation, Anti-Magic and Phase Door. That dissipates the curtain and reveals the stairs to the first level of the White Tower.

White Tower, Level 1

2nd Titanium Helm

I start off at 0N 0E on the map of the first level of the White Tower. I win battles at 4N 0E and 4N 2E. I sit on the square at 3N 2E to recharge my Spell Points.

I go south back to the stairs and then east. I win fights against random monsters at 0N 1E, 1N 1E and 2N 1E.

I cross the silent square at 0N 2E and win a fight against random monsters at 0N 3E. I put my Traveller's Tune back up afterwards.

I go to 0N 4E, face northwards and use a Trap Zap to get rid of a couple of traps to the north. I win fights against random monsters at 1N 3E, 2N 3E and 3N 4E.

I get a Titanium Helm after one of the battles. Gallard equips it for a 1 point improvement to AC.

The stairs to the second level are at 4N 4E.

White Tower, Level 2

2nd Titanium Plate

I win fights against random monsters at 4N 2E, 3N 3E and 1N 3E.

I get smoke in the eyes at 0N 4E, and cross the silent square at 1N 4E. I win another fight against random monsters at 2N 4E.

I come back across the silent square and the smoke, and have Ariel put her Traveller's Tune back, and Mordred use his Eternal Torch. I win another fight against random monsters at 0N 1E.

I use Apport Arcane with coordinates +1 +1 0 and win a fight against random monsters at 1N 2E. I continue with fights against random monsters at 1N 0E, 3N 0E and 4N 1E.

I have gotten two items of note during these fights. One is a second Titanium Plate armor, which Lord Stygar equips for a 2 point improvement to AC.

The other is an Angel's Ring. It provides a 2 point improvement to AC like a Shield Ring. The key difference is that it will revive its wearer with full Hit Points should its wearer be killed, but the Ring itself will be consumed in the process. I still prefer Shield Rings though. Spells like Heal All and Grave Robber are usually adequate to address such situations, and won't leave me scrambling for a replacement ring afterwards.

I cast Apport Arcane with coordinates 0 -2 0 to reach the stairs to the next level at 4N 4E.

White Tower, Level 3

Third Floor

I go west one square to 4N 3E, where I get both a fight against random monsters and an indication that Hawkslayer was married to somebody named "Cala". That name can be used as a password later on.

I go back to the stairs, but then go south through the door and another square west to win another fight against random monsters. I cast Apport Arcane with coordinates 0 -1 0 to get on the other side of the wall.

I win fights against random monsters at 4N 1E and 2N 0E. I find a crib indicating the names of Hawkslayer and Cala, but also their child, "Utor".

I continue with fights against random monsters at 2N 1E and 0N 0E. I sit on the square at 0N 1E until Talia and Mordred have their Spell Points fully recharged.

I win fights against random monsters at 0N 2E, 1N 2E and 2N 4E. After that, I cast Apport Arcane with coordinates +2 0 0 to return to the stairs, but I now take them up to the fourth floor.

White Tower, Level 4

White Wizards

I go south one square and win a fight against random monsters at 3N 4E. I go two squares west and one square north to get out of the dark hallway.

I win fights against random monsters at 4N 3E, 3N 1E and 4N 0E. I make my way south and past the silent square at 1N 0E, and win another fight against random monsters at 0N 0E.

Ariel puts the Traveller's Tune back up. I sit on the square at 1N 1E until Talia and Mordred recharge their Spell Points. I win two more fights against random monsters at 1N 3E and 1N 4E.

I continue to 0N 4E, where I fight six White Wizards. They rely on either Rimefang or Summon Herb, but I have little trouble cutting them down. They leave behind the Crystal Lens for my inventory.

I cast Apport Arcane with coordinates -1 0 0, and take the stairs back down to the third level.

2nd Titanium Shield

*Note* I do all the fights over again on the three lower levels as I make my way back down to the Tower. I did not show the videos for the third or first levels, as I did not get any items I wanted.

I do, however, get a second Titanium Shield as I do the fights over again on the second level. Ariel equips it for a 1 point improvement to AC.

The Grey Tower is my next destination.
