THE ARL OF REDCLIFFE
Attack on the Camp
I click on Redcliffe Castle on the world map. This leads to the Archdemon sending a pack of Shrieks to attack everyone in the Camp. I can't give much advice other than to say: 1) make sure your NPC scripts are in place beforehand and 2) keep an eye out for Morrigan, and Wynne, since they're vulnerable to Shrieks approaching from the sides.
Arl Eamon Revives
And here is where I bring the Ashes back to revive Arl Eamon and have the forces of Redcliffe join my cause. Note that this also leads to the Champion specialization getting unlocked, and an extra talent for Aldarion. Arl Eamon also gives me the Redcliffe Elite Shield (+1 Willpower, +3 defense, +15% electrical resistance, +2 attack), but Aldarion won't use it until he acquires the Death Syphon talent. If I had sacrificed Isolde to save Connor (only possible if Jowan was still captive and I obliged him to use Blood Magic to send me to the Fade), I would have gotten the Enchanter's Staff (+1 Magic, +10% spirit resistance, +5% cold damage, +5% electrical damage, +5% fire damage).
Redcliffe Army
Lastly, there will be another random encounter available after completing the "Arl of Redcliffe" treaty quest. Several Darkspawn, including an Ogre, are attacking soldiers from Redcliffe. The Darkspawn and Redcliffe soldiers are so interspersed with each other that it becomes a simple matter of jumping straightaway into the melee combat.
Now it's time for me to journey to the Dwarven city of Orzammar.
