Admeth's Den

Copperlane

The Dozens

The entrance to Admeth's Den is at #32 on the map of Copperlane.

Admeth's Dan

I start off at #1 on the map of Admeth's Den. I go forward a little and witness an interaction that involves Wenan and a band of bounty hunters who call themselves the Giant Slayers.

I speak to Wenan at #5, who provides background information on The Dozens, and suggests that somebody named Osric can provide work.

Osric

I speak to Osric at #11, who wants me to get his breastplate back for him, since it has sentimental value as a family heirloom. This conversation triggers the Rogue Knight quest.

Penhelm's Affidavit

I travel across Copperlane to #16, which opens up access to the First Fires District.

First Fires

I arrive at #1 on the map of the First Fires District. The entrance to Crucible Keep is at #11.

Crucible Keep

I start off at #1 on the map of Crucible Keep. I travel on the west side of the keep and speak with Penhelm at #17, who openly admits that he is wearing Osric's Breastplate and has no intention of returning it.

The bookcase at #7 has Penhelm's Affidavit, which is needed to progress the quest. I leave the Keep.

Affidavit Forgery

I leave First Fires through one of the World Map Exits on the south side, so as to gain access to Brackenbury.

Brackenbury

Now I'm at #18 on the map of Brackenbury. The entrance to Hadret House is at #14.

Hadret House, Main Floor

That brings me to #1 on the map of the main floor of Hadret House.

I speak to an Orlan Cipher named Kurren at #4, who confirms that the Affidavit is a Forgery. He also suggests that Commander Clyver of the Crucible Knights can make that discovery official.

Osric's Family Breastplate

Penhelm and a band of Novitiates accost the party once they leave the Hadret House. There are multiple ways to deal with the situation:

Note that any path that leads to coming back to Osric empty-handed without his Breastplate means that you'll fail the quest, and you cannot progress your association with The Dozens any further.

Alliria chose the last option as a way to the Breastplate without having to kill anyone for it. The video concludes with the party leaving Brackenbury through the World Map Exit on the west, partly to open up access to Ondra's Gift, and partly to return to Copperlane.

*Evil* Osric's Family Breastplate

Zakara chooses the Cruel dialogue option to provoke a fight with the Novitiates. She, Eder and Kana form a front-line. Durance casts Blessing and Consecrated Ground.

Aloth uses Pull of Eora to hold several of the Novitiates away from the party and bombards them with Fireballs. However, he also ends up having to use Llengrath's Displaced Image when one or two of them manage to get around the front line and attack him. He later casts Essential Phantom for an extra attacker. Grieving Mother uses Phantom Foes and then attacks any Novitiates who get close to Aloth with her sword. The battle is soon won.

I thereby claim Osric's Family Breastplate in a more bloody fashion.

Hamor

I arrive at #12 on the map of Copperlane after returning from First Fires. Gordy and his father, named Hamor, will now be at #11. Hamor assumes that Gordy has stolen the dagger.

Alliria chose the Diplomatic option to get Gordy out of punishment. The Honest reply would have worked as well.

*Evil* Zakara uses the Deceptive option to betray Gordy to his father's punishment.

Rogue Knight

I enter Admeth's Den and give Osric's Family Breastplate to Osric in order to complete the Rogue Knight quest.

It is now open to me to speak to Wenan and pursue the Bronze Beneath the Lake quest. However, I prefer not to. Completing that quest would get the Watcher the Mob Justice talent (+5 Accuracy when attacking the same target as an ally), but would also foreclose any opportunity for affiliating myself with either House Doemenel or the Knights of the Crucible. I prefer the talent offered by House Doemenel for Alliria, and the talent offered by the Knights of the Crucible for Zakara. In both instances, it is a matter of which talent is better suited to their respective builds.

*Evil* It is at this point that I remember to add the Kith-Slaying enchantment to Eder's Measured Restraint rapier.

Sonild

Sonild is at #6, and she will now make her wares available for sale now that I've completed the Rogue Knight quest. I'm not interested in any of it, but I do take the chance to sell off my excess loot.

My next destination is the Hall of Revealed Mysteries.
