Longwatch Falls

There will be several forces of Lagufaeth spread throughout this area. The spell Prayer Against Imprisonment, or any other spell that raises defenses, will come in handy so as to avoid the paralysis effect of their darts. They will leave behind Clubs, Lagufaeth Stilettoes and Lagufaeth Livers when killed. They will sometimes be in the company of Ice Bligths as well, who will leave behind Primal Waters when killed.

Longwatch Falls

  1. Here is where the party will arrive for the first time. It also provides an access to the White March Map.

  2. You will find Brintwyn Bans at these spots.

  3. You will find Ryngyr Berries here.

  4. Warleader DarzirHere is a ring of stones with a skeleton at its left side. The Skeleton on the left side of the ring will have the Greenstone Staff, which is a Soulbound weapon, as well as a random item (usually of Fine quality).

    Be warned that taking the staff will cause the nearby Bitter Spirits to attack. The Spirits themselves aren't particularly difficult, but they will soon be joined by a few Spectres and a Cean Gwla. The Spectres are much more powerful versions of Shades. They can inflict cold damage with their long-distance attacks, but those attacks and themselves also reduce cold resistance. The Cean Gwla is the undead spirit of a Menpwgra. She is a powerful spellcaster, and can also paralyze multiple party members with her scream, and so should be your priority target first and foremost.

  5. You will find the spirit of Ygadr here, who provides the quest called His Better Half.

  6. You will find Blood Moss here.

  7. There will be a large force of Lagufaeth, led by a pair of Lagufaeth Broodmothers, at each of these spots. These fight can be quite dangerous since the Broodmothers can cast Druid spells. The Broodmothers will leave behind Fine Pikes when killed.

  8. You will find Ygadr's Journal here, which is relevant to the quest called His Better Half.

  9. This pool has the Pearlescent Orb, which is relevant to The Thermal Pearl task.

  10. You will find a Tyn Hat here.

  11. There is another exit point to the White March Map here. It can also uncover access to Durgan's Battery.

  12. There is a hidden vase here that can only be uncovered while in scouting mode. It will have a Durgan Iron Ingot.

  13. There will be several Ice Trolls and Frost Oozes here. The Trolls will leave behind Troll Skins when killed.

  14. Here is where you can find Ulmar and the rest of the Gleaming Society if you are pursuing the bounty offered by Tealdor on him.

  15. You will find River Reeds at these spots.

  16. There will be a large force of Lagufaeth, Ice Blights, and Greater Ice Blights here, led by a pair of Lagufaeth Broodmothers. This fight can be quite dangerous since the Broodmothers can cast Druid spells. A strategy that may work is to send one character ahead to lead them back across the bridge so that you can catch them all with your own spells as they approach. The Lagufaeth will leave behind Lagufaeth Spears and Lagufaeth Livers when killed. The Blights will leave behind Primal Waters. The Broodmothers will leave behind Fine Pikes when killed.

  17. Here is the entrance to the Ice Cave, which serves as the lair of the Alpine Dragon. The Dragon is itself the focus of the quest called His Better Half.

  18. There is another exit point to the White March Map here. It can also, during Part 2 of the White March expansion, uncover access to Whitestone Hollow.

  19. Here is where you can find Firedorn and the rest of the Disciples of the True Flame if you are pursuing the bounty offered by Tealdor on him.

  20. A trapped chest here has Camping Supplies, plus a random gem and a random weapon.

  21. You will encounter a few Cean Gwlas, a couple of Spectres, and some Rain Blights here. A Prayer against Imprisonment spell may be recommended here if you have it, since it will protect you against the paralyzing screams of the Cean Gwlas. The Spectres and Cean Gwlas leave behind Primal Waters and Primal Winds when killed.

  22. Here is where you can obtain the Estoc called The Grey Sleeper through a scripted interaction so as to start The Grey Sleeper quest.
