At #21 on the Longwatch Falls map the you will encounter a few Cean Gwlas, a couple of Spectres, and some Rain Blights here. A Prayer against Imprisonment spell may be recommended here if you have it, since it will protect you against the paralyzing screams of the Cean Gwlas. The Spectres and Cean Gwlas leave behind Primal Waters and Primal Winds when killed.
At #22 will be an Estoc stuck in a large stone, which you can retrieve during a scripted interaction. Keep in mind that whichever character you select to extract the Estoc, the Estoc will become soulbound to that character only, and cannot subsequently be soulbound to any other character. The character you select can also make a Perception check of 13 during the scripted interaction to read a poem on the blade of the Estoc. Successful extraction of the Estoc itself requires that the character you choose have one of the following:
Intellect 11 and Might 13
Dexterity 16 and Might 13
The Fan of Flames spell
Might 16
Keep in mind that with the first two options, if the character can make the Intellect or Dexterity check but then subsequently fails the Might check, you'll still get the blade but the character will end up Fatigued.
The end result will be that you end up with the soulbound Estoc called The Grey Sleeper, and it will be bound to the character that drew it out of the stone. Keep in mind that the character who obtained the blade cannot ever unequip it, not even to change to a different weapon set, until all the soulbound upgrades have been completed. And that in turn requries completion of the quest.
Next, return to Cilant Lis. That's right, it's the same place where the biawac storm knocked you out when you first started the game and ended up a Watcher. Click on the machine at #7, and you'll get the next upgrade.
Next, return to the Esternwood. Rest in the graveyard at #4, and you'll get the next upgrade.
Next, return to your stronghold at Caed Nua map. Kneel before the finger made of Adra at #10 to complete the last upgrade, and also complete the quest itself.
