The trigger for this quest is when you speak to Feylan at #19 on the Stalwart Village map. He really wants a bottle of Fennlan Liquor from the nearby Gref's Rest Inn, but the proprietor, Haeferic, won't let him anywhere near this stock.
A couple of Passionate responses are available during the conversation, either to call him out for being a coward during the battle against the Ogres, or refusing to perform a theft for him. Having an Imaxmitl Plains background can also provide a twist to the conversation as well, although it does not have any long-term repercussions.
It will soon become apparent that the liquor itself is protected by several traps. If you had previously rescued Keydy from the burning house at #27 on the Stalwart Village map, she will be at #4 on the map of the main floor of Gref's Rest.
Haenferic will be at #5 on the map of the main floor of Gref's Rest. If you tip him off as to Feylan's intentions, you'll fail the quest but you'll gain Honest disposition as well as 200cp from Haenferic.
There will be two containers in the liquor rack at #21 of the basement map. One of them holds the Fenlann Liquor that Reyfald wants.
You can bring the Liquor to Reyfald for 100cp. It becomes apparent that the liquor is spiked with a toxin that has a debilitating effect. He'll plead for your help in finding a cure. A Rational response is available at that point.
Speak to Haenferic again. He can be convinced to provide a cure for Reyfald, during which a Diplomatic dialogue option becomes available. He will need a River Reed and an Ice Troll Heart.
An Ice Troll will be at #5 on the Russetwood map. It should be fairly easy to kill, and will leave behind a Troll Skin and an Ice Troll Heart when killed. There will also be several River Reeds around this spot as well. Both the River Reed and the Ice Troll Heart are items that are helpful for purposes of completing the quest.
