Galawain's Maw
Prayer to Galawain
I click on the Shrine to Galawain at #8 on the map of Teir Evron, and choose the words "Survival begins from within" to start the prayer. Galawain shows me a vision of both a bear and a lioness, and makes himself clear that he wants a new animal to emerge as a champion for his temple. The vision starts the The Old Queen and the New King quest. I thereafter take the exit at #1 to Elm's Reach.
After that, I travel to the World Map Exit at #1 on the map of Elm's Reach and travel to Oldsong.
Einden
Now I enter Galawain's Maw through its entrance, which is at #15 on the map of Oldsong.
I start off at #1 on the map of Galawain's Maw. I speak to Einden at #4, who explains that the Lioness named Sul remains invulnerable while she stays within her place of power. He makes himself clear that he would prefer a bear named Oernos to take over as Champion of the Maw.
Desthwn
Now I speak to Desthwn at #8, who provides info on both Sul and Oernos as potential claimants to being the Champion of the Maw.
He also gives me the Galawain's Maw Key, which I use to open the door at #9.
Lion Clansmen
The party then goes about the inner caves, slaughtering Lions and Lion Clansmen (typically Druids) at points labelled #13, and disarming what traps they can along the way.
*Note* I don't bother going through the wall of vines at #16, so as to avoid the injuries that would likely result. I go the long way around to the east side.
Sul
At #17 is where I encounter Irensi and the Lioness named Sul. I decide it's easier to just slaughter them then and there. The usual tactics for the good party suffice to win the battle.
*Evil* Sul
Zakara uses a dialogue option based on her being a Bleak Walker to convince Irensi and the other Elven Barbarians to leave. The evil party then easily defeats Sul and the rest of the Lion pack.
Oernos
Einden and the Bear named Oernos now show up at #11. I could kill them too, but decide to let them become the Champions for the sake of swiftly resolving the quest.
Cat's Claw
I speak to Desthwn again. He rewards me with a Sword called Cat's Claw, but I have no use for it.
I make my way back to Teir Evron.
*Evil* The Old Queen and the New King
I first show this part from the perspective of the evil party, who now head back to Teir Evron.
Zakara informs Galawain of her success in resolving the conflict in Galawain's Maw. She now accepts Galawain's aid in exchange for a promise to use the souls stolen by Thaos to feed and strengthen the people who are still left in Dyrwood. She also receives the talent called Galawain's Boon, which gives her +1 to Might and +1 to Athletics.
This mutual exchange marks the conclusion of both The Old Queen and the New King and the Council of Stars quests.

Alliria reserves her decision for the moment.
Council of Stars
I click on Hylea's altar at #7 on the map of Teir Evron. Alliria agrees to Hylea's request to return the souls to the Hollowborn bodies they were meant for. She receives in return the Hylea's Boon (+1 Perception, +1 Lore) talent.
I travel to Hearthsong, rest up at the Celestial Sapling, and then go on to Oldsong.
Both parties now travel to the Burial Isle.
