Ehrys will open this door if you helped her take on a Rime Construct
as her new body in the course of The
Last Pilgrimage Quest.
You can also open it with a hidden button on the other side, just a
little east of the sarcophagus at #5.
Here is a sarcophagus that is completely frozen over. You can melt the
ice away completely with fire-based magic, which can include a Paladin's
Flames of Devotion.
Other possibilities require first making or finding a weakness in the
ice itself. Those possibilities include:
Making a Perception check of 14 to detect an exposed area where you
can reach the lid.
Removing some of the ice by using the War Hammer called Glacierbane.
Making a Might check of 12 to remove some of the ice.
After that, it becomes a matter of removing the lid off the sarcophagus.
Options include:
Fire-based magic to melt the ice away is an option at this point as well.
The Sarcophagus will have a miniature Rime Construct called Frosty that you can take as a
Pet.
A hidden button here can open the door at #4.
Ehrys will be here if you helped her become an Ice
Construct.
This sarcophagus has a Soulbound Large Shield called the Wintertide
Bulwark. Taking it will result in the party getting attacked by
several Rime Constructs and Frost Shades. The Rime Constructs will
become Greater Frost Blights upon being defeated.
Here you can fight a group of Snow
Bears led by a Papa Bear, along with a couple of Pilgrim Savages. One of
the Pilgrim Savages leaves behind a Cloak
of Greater Protection.
