The Drowned Kingdom

The Shattered Passage

Kaihoa

I am now at #6. I go across to the western side. The spirit of an Aumauan woman attacks me near #8. She leaves behind a Trinket called Kaihoa when I kill her.

I use Kaihoa as a switch on the pedestal at #8, which causes the pool at #9 to drain and the pool at #10 to fill up.

I go through the pool at #11 to enter The Drowned Kingdom.

The Drowned Kingdom

*Evil* The Drowned Kingdom

I show this part from the perspective of the evil party, since it's a little more meaningful for Tekehu.

*Note* Here I show a pathway that both completes The Drowned Kingdom Quest and obtains the Great Sword named The Twin Eels. It is based on both leaving a path clear of water that starts from the portal at #7 (north of the other #7) and runs east to the initial entrance at #1, prior to entering The Sunken Crown.

I start off at #1 on the map of The Drowned Kingdom. I go a little north until I reach the portal at #2 that's a little more to the south. I go through it to reach the other portal at #2 that's more to the north.

I speak for a little bit to the Frightened Aumaua at #3, when Tekehu's interest piques in their belief that they're in Ukaizo. The dialogue leads to a battle with a Soul Collector and three Drowned Berserkers.

I do not use the conch at A for now. I instead go through the pool at 'a' that's west of 3, which is drained as long as you don't use the conch at A.

Now I go to #4 and fight the Soul Collectors and Drowned Berserkers there.

I next use the conch at B to drain the pool at 'b'.

Now I go east and through the portal at #6, which brings me to the other #6 portal to the south.

I click on and collect the Wandering Soul (#5) in the middle of the Drowned Kingdom, just a little south of the portal (#6) that I just came through. It's one of several soul fragments of the Huana King that you'll need.

Now I go through the portal at #7 that's just a little west of the conch at B. You'll end up at the other #7 portal that's to the south.

I go south and defeat the Scourge and Drowned Berserkers at #8. Note that I backed Tekehu and Ydwin against the wall and surrounded by other party members. That bought Xoti enough time to eventually put Barring Death's Door spells on them as well.

After that I go east and through the portal at #10.

The Sunken Crown

The Twin Eels

The good party will now be at #1 on the map of The Sunken Crown. The submerged area at #6 will now be drained of water, and I can pass through.

There will be some Drowned Berserkers to fight at #7. I use crowd-control plus bombardment to overcome them.

I obtain the Great Sword called The Twin Eels from the sarcophagus at #8. I hold onto it for Xoti.

I continue and defeat the Scourges, Soul Collector and Wardens of Decay at #2. I then go through the portal at #4.

The Drowned Kingdom

*Evil* Current's Rush

I also show this part from the perspective of the evil party. They will now be at #11 on the map of The Drowned Kingdom. I use the conch at E, which drains the pool at 'e'. Now I take the Scepter called Current's Rush at #12. I'll hold onto it for Aloth.

Now I go a little east and through the nearby portal at #7 to go to the other #7 portal to the north.

I use the conch at C to drain the pool at 'c'.

I next go through the portal at #6 to the northeast. It brings the evil party to the other #6 portal that's a little to the north.

I then use the conch at A. It will fill the pool marked 'a' to the west of #3, but drain the pool marked 'a' west of #1.

Now I go through the portal at #2 which is a little northeast of the conch at A. It takes me to the other portal at #2 just a little north of #1.

I now go to the pool west of #1. I obtain another Wandering Soul (#5) that's in the now drained pool.

I continue along the pathway that leads west and towards the portal at #6 in the center of the map. But I don't go through that portal. Instead, I go through the portal just a little west at #7 to reach the portal at #7 that's to the south.

I go east and through the portal at #9 and reach the other #9 portal that's to the north. I take another Wandering Soul (#5) in the pool at 'c'. I also click on the conch at D to drain the pool at 'd'. I then go back the way I came through the #9 portals.

I next go east to the portal at #10. The fourth and last Wandering Soul (#5) will be waiting in front of it. And I go through the #10 portal again.

The Sunken Crown

King Wingauro

I go north to #3. The spirit of King Wingauro appears on the throne now that I've collected all four Wandering Souls. Various background and skill checks are available. Alliria uses a combined Diplomacy check of 8 and a Bluff check of 8 to get things started.

The checks themselves aren't particularly important. It's the dialogue option "The Huana still thrive in the Deadfire. Your legacy survives you." that convinces him to see the error of his ways in allowing the Engwithans to build their machines in Ukaizo.

I now have the options of letting him dissolve away into the White Void, letting him join the trail of souls following you, or having him help you in the battle against Neriscyrlas. Alliria lets the soul of the king join her throng of souls.

The end result is completing The Drowned Kingdom Quest, along with an 8,000+ xp reward.

Aloth takes Uncanny Luck on his 18th level-up. It provides a 5% chance to convert a Hit to a Critical Hit, which will help a little with a weapon he will soon find. It also provides a 5% chance to avoid any attack outright, which provides yet another roll to maintain his combat buffs.

*Evil* King Wingauro

Zarathos uses Betrayal to pretend to be his son, Edanke.

Zarathos also obliges the king to render his aid in the fight against Neriscyrlas.

Tekehu takes Tough on his 18th level-up. More Health is always a good thing for any character.

Either party now goes through the portal at #5 to Return to The Shattered Passage.
