TERRA - F FAERIE NINJA
Why She's Included
The Ninja can often cause instant death from afar with the Boomerang Shuriken. One of the key benefits for a Ninja is that thrown weapons will automatically penetrate their targets. I unfortunately cannot do that with this particular Ninja build, but the benefits will be worth it.
Some people find the key benefit of the Ninja, the bonus to the Critical Strikes skill, to be too random for their tastes. Sure, the critical hits can seem quite happenstance. But where a Ninja really shines is against monsters that have attacking power and hit points that seem far out of proportion compared their stated monster level. The Ninja is at her best when she uses a weapon that both provides a bonus chance of triggering a Critical Hit, and will still inflict hefty damage when the Critical Hit doesn't trigger. The best possible Ninja weapon is the Cane of Corpus, which only a Faerie Ninja can wield. It has a damage range of 12-42 points damage, has a 100% chance of causing poisoning, a 50% chance of paralyzing its target, and a 15% chance of triggering a Critical Hit. But it is also a cursed weapon. That pretty much forgoes any sustained use of the Boomerang Shuriken which instead is used by Ryu the Samurai.
The Faerie at some point will be able to handle front-line combat without much fear, as her armor class bonuses from the Stealth skill will stack with the bonuses from her small size as a Faerie, and the bonuses provided by the Reflextion expert skill. The last bonus means I will prioritize her maxing out her Dexterity in order to obtain the Reflextion skill.
The Ninja also often provides secondary spell casting power, with spells like Toxic Cloud, Acid Bomb, Ring of Fire, Quicksand, etc. to help out the Bishop. That also means I'll prioritize Intelligence early on so that she can obtain the Power Cast skill.
