Why She's Included

Vi Domina as a Valkyrie is best used as an extended range striker who can hit enemies with a Polearm (which Valkyries get a skill bonus in) and casting spells when needed.

The Valkyrie's unique power to cheat death really makes itself felt in the later stages of the game. A high-level Valkyrie becomes impossible to kill, and anything that would kill her just renders her unconscious. And if she has the Resurrection spell, that means at least one character who will always be in a place to revive her fallen comrades (at least once she wakes up).
