SERGEANT KYLON
Peals before Swine
Sergeant Kylon can be found east of Goldanna's home. He has a first job for me, to clear the Pearl of the White Falcon Mercenaries but without killing them. He'll be quite upset if I do kill them, and he won't offer any reward. I head over to the Pearl, and a Persuasion check (or Intimidation) suffices to convince their leader to clear out.
Cristof
I make my way back to the Market District. I run into Sergeant Kylon on the way there, and he is quite pleased with how I handled the previous situation. Only, many more White Falcon Mercenaries led by Cristof arrive to attack. I have decent help from the Sergeant and his men, so I don't feel any overwhelming need to have Leliana activate her Captivating Song. Wynne hits a few distant Mercenaries with a Fireball, and then plants a Glyph of Warding into the thick of things after battle positions have crystallized. She then protects herself with a Glyph of Repulsion. Beyond that, it's a matter of letting the other party members do their thing.
Sergeant Kylon gives me my reward and heads back to the Market District. Cristof leaves behind a one-handed axe called Aodh (+3% chance of melee critical, +20% fire resistance, -5% cold resistance, +1 fire damage). No one has any use for it though.
The Crimson Oars
Sergeant Kylon has one more job for me, to clear the Crimson Oars mercenaries out of the Gnawed Noble Tavern, whether or not that involves killing them. This is by now an easy fight, and it's soon over. I then speak to Kylon twice to get two different rewards.
Now it's time to do some Favors for Certain Interested Parties.
