  1. Here is the initial landing point for the island.

  2. Here is a Burial Site that offers random items.

  3. Here is Osa's Channel, which offers a scripted interaction. It offers the opportunity to either participate in a Huana swimming race, or bet on one of the contestants.

The early parts of the interaction offer opportunities to size up the competitors. A Perception check of 12 based on eyeballing the contestants yourself will suggest that the lean blonde Aumuau stands the best chance of winning. It will also note that another of the contestants is a scrawny teen.

Another perception check of 12 based on asking one of the locals near the water (but not on the bridge) who the best candidate is will again suggest the lean blonde Aumuau.

If you want to bet on the race, you have to talk to the people on the bridge itself. The lean blonde man is the most likely to win. The gangly youth is the least likely to win, but becomes the most likely if the Watcher can place a spell on him that enhances his Might. Doing so earns Shady reputation, however.

You'll need to make a History check of 2 or a Bluff check of 2 with the people near the water, but not on the bridge itself, if you want to participate in the race. It doesn't matter whether you strip down or not, but certain characters (especially in combination pairs) may make comments on going in the birthday suit.

Whether you bet on the race or participate in it, the gangly youth will start drowning once the race begins. Your options if you bet on the race are:

    • Dive in and help him ashore, which earns Benevolent disposition. Requires an Athletics check of 1 or a Might check of 13. If you fail both checks, the muscular woman will end up saving both of you, assuring victory for the lean blonde man. You also earn moderate positive reputation with the Huana.
    • Use a Rope and Grappling Hook to get him out.
    • If you're a Priest of Berath, use your powers to help him.
    • Ignore him and watch the race.

You lose your money for good if you bet on the wrong person. If you win, your earnings depend on who your successful bet was. It's 150cp for the bald woman, 250cp for the lean blonde man, and 500cp for the gangly youth.

If you participate in the race yourself, the options are:

    • Save the gangly youth and bring him ashore. The checks and the results are the same as for betting and watching the race.
    • If you're a Priest of Berath, use your powers to help him.
    • Keep swimming to try and win the race, which earns Cruel disposition. Pass an Athletics check of 3 and then another Athletics check of 1 and you'll win the race.

The only benefit of winning the race is a Ring of Unshackling.

  4. Here is a Farmhouse that sells Water, Hagfish and Silverfin.
