The Final Maneuver


    World Map

  1. This Quest starts when you return to the World Map after completing the Main Quest called He Waits In Fire. You'll receive a missive from Hazanui Karu asking for assistance with a final matter before undertaking the journey to Ukaizo.

    2. Brass Citadel

  2. Go through the door at #14 in the Brass Citadel.

    3. Imperial Command, Main Floor

  3. You'll now be at #1 on the main floor of Imperial Command. Speak to Hazanui Karu at #3.

    Imperial Command, Lower Floor

    *NOTE* The Clearing Out Crookspur Quest also needs to be completed, either in success or failure, before this Quest can start. So you may need to first speak to Atsura at #8 on the Lower Floor of the Imperial Command to wrap things up before the needed dialogue options become available through the Hazanui.

  4. Hazanui Karu will want your exclusive allegiance to the Royal Deadfire Company. And she'll want you to show it by assassinating either Queen Onekaza, or Prince Aruihi, as a second best option. She'll have her forces bombard the city to keep the Huana forces distracted, and buy you time to get into the Palace for the job.

    If you turn her down, all Rautai in the Imperial Command will go hostile and attack you. You can also accept her job initially, but then speak to her again and refuse before leaving the command to provoke hostility. Strangely enough, Maia will remain in your party and help you against her former compatriots should the Rautai go hostile.

  5. Any of Pallegina and Tekehu will strongly voice their objections if you accept the Hazanui's job. Any of them will also leave should you leave the Imperial Command while in acceptance of the Hazanui's job.

    6. Neketaka

  6. All districts of Neketaka will now be closed except for Serpent's Crown.

    7. Serpent's Crown

  7. All Huana in the district will now be hostile. In particular there will be large forces of Huana on guard north of the entrance at #1, and near the palace gates at #8.

  8. Go through the palace doors at #9 if you want a shorter route to Queen Onekaza.

    9. Kahanga Palace, Upper Floor

  9. You will now be at #1 on the map of the upper floor of the Kahanga Palace. There will be a massive force of Huana in the room at #4. Make your way to the stairs at #3 should you win.

    10. Kahanga Palace, Rooftop

  10. Queen OnekazaYou'll now be at #1 on the map of the rooftop of the Kahanga Palace. Queen Onekaza and her minions, including her pet tigers, will be at #4. She'll attack after a brief dialogue.

    She'll leave behind a Ring of Minor Protection, a Trollhide Belt and a Serpent Crown after she is defeated.

    However, killing Queen Onekaza means that Prince Aruihi will escape and no longer be available as an assassination target.

  11. Alternatively, you could beforehand go through the doors at #8 of Serpent's Crown if Prince Aruihi is your preferred target.

    12. Kahanga Palace, Main Floor

  12. You'll be at #1 on the map of the main floor of the Kahanga Palace. There will be a large force of Huana in the room to the north, with Prince Aruihi leading them. He'll leave behind an Amuet of Greater Health, a Girdle of Mortal Protection and a Serpent Crown when defeated.

    Killing him however will mean that Queen Onekaza will escape. It really is one or the other.

  13. Leave the Palace after assassinating one of the targets. Atsura and his soldiers will arrive to congratulate you. Atsura also tells you to see the Hazanui in the Brass Citadel.

  14. Blade of TukowaReturn to the Brass Citadel. You'll meet Hazanui Karu at the docks in the southeast corner of the district. She'll give you the Submarine called the "Blade of Tukowa" to make the journey to Ukaizo. The Coming Storm Quest will be completed at the same time.

  15. The remainder of the Quest will now overlap with City Lost to Time Quest for purposes of entering Ondra's Mortar through the point marked #61 on the World Map and then reaching Ukaizo at #62.

    Reaching Ukaizo will mark completion of this Quest and a 50,000+xp reward.
