Potions of Plenty

You can begin this quest after you have spoken to Humaire for the first time at #11 in the Temple of Toamowhai. It is recommended that you begin the Task immediately after speaking to Humaire. The reason is that the item provided by Neale, who gives you the Task, grows in power as you progress through the Trials in The Crucible. Wearing that item from the first Trial onwards is the proven and reliable way to maximize the power of that item and complete the Task.

  1. Speak to Neale at #5. He wants to run an experiment in collecting the ambient soul energy of The Crucible in a belt that he's constructed from Adra and copper wire. He'd like you to wear that belt during your fights in The Crucible. He'll give you the Unstable Coil if agree, which starts this Quest.

    The Quest itself is winning your Trials in The Crucible while having a character wear the Unstable Coil during the battles that make up the Trials. The point is to be wearing the Unstable Coil during those fights.

    Check on your Journal entry after completing The Rite of Passage. It should indicate that you've collected enough soul energy to go back to Neale with the Unstable Coil.

    Bring the Unstable Coil and he will reward the party with the Skull of the Fallen and the Less Unstable Coil. He'll also tell you to come back after you've fought stronger souls.

  2. Now it's more of the same, winning more Trials in The Crucible while wearing the Less Unstable Coil. Bring the Less Unstable Coil to Neale after completing one of The Seeking Face, The Slaying Face, or The Surviving Face Quests and he will reward the party with the Bubbling Chalice and the Least Unstable Coil. He'll also tell you to come back after you've fought stronger souls.

  3. More of the same afterward, winning more fights in The Crucible while wearing the Least Unstable Coil. Bring the Least Unstable Coil after completing The Hunter Hunted, and he will reward the party with Liquid Adra, and 3,000+ xp to conclude the Task.
