CHAMBER OF THE ASSEMBLY
Assembly Steward Bandelor
The entrance to the Diamond Quarter is across the walkway from Garin. The Quarter itself doesn't really serve any purpose other than to be a transit point to several other places in Orzammar.
I go to the Chamber of the Assembly, and listen in on a session of the Deshyr Lords, which is too divided to make any decision. I then speak with Assembly Steward Bandelor, who suggests that I need to speak either to Lord Harrowmont's second, Dulin Forender, or Prince Bhelen's second, Vartag Gavorn, in order to make progress.
A Prince's Favor: The First Task
Now I speak to Vartag Gavorn, who is right next to the entrance to the Diamond Quarter. If you prefer Harrowmont's second, Dulin Forender, he'll be just outside the same door.
I prefer to side with Bhelen and Gavorn for now, at least until I'm ready to switch sides, because there's more immediate benefits to doing so. Gavorn wants me to provide incriminating evidence of double-dealing on Lord Harrowmont's part to two of Harrowmont's potential allies, Lord Helmi and Lady Dace. This is quite an involved quest, so I've broken down its resolution into several videos.
Forged Promissory Notes
By the way, Shaper Czibor in the Shaperate will conclude that the evidence is a forgery, but doing this has no real in game consequence. Indeed, there's still no in game consequence if you confront Vartag Gavorn over the discovery.
Loilinar Ivo and Oghren
I continue towards the way back to the Commons. Only now I witness an argument between two Dwarves named Loilinar Ivo and Oghren. I can get some background information from Loilinar afterwards.
Lord Helmi
Lord Helmi can be found in Tapster's Tavern, which is on the east side of the Commons and just a little past Filda. It won't take much to convince him to change his vote against Lord Harrowmont after I show him the Promissory Notes.
Lady Dace
I now go and find Lady Dace, who is in the Diamond Quarter near the entrance to Lord Harrowmont's Estate. Problem is, she can't vote on behalf of her noble house. Only her father can, but he's busy leading a Deep Roads expedition. She gives me a pass authorizing passage to the Deep Roads.
The entrance to the Deep Roads is at the very west end of the Orzammar Commons. I have to give the pass to the Mines Commander before I can proceed to the Aeducan Thaig.
