Hearthsong

  1. The entrance to the Passsage of Six is at #5 on the Hearthsong map.

    2. Passage of Six

  2. The party will arrive at #1 of the Passage of Six map. Ridai will be at #4. Somebody named Arthwn claims to have emerged victorious over Ridai's brother, Fiorm, during a hunting competition by killing an unusually large Stelgaer that Fiorm could not. Fiorm has therefore exiled himself from Twin Elms in shame. Ridai doesn't believe a word of it, since in his view Fiorm was easily the better hunter. He won't mind if you look into it. Cruel, Diplomatic and Passionate replies are possible during the dialogue.

    3. Elm's Reach

  3. Arthwyn will be at #9 on the map of Elm's Reach. He'll repeat the story, with the obvious difference that he asserts it's the absolute truth.

    4. Northweald

  4. You will start off at #1 on the map of Northweald.

  5. Stelgaer SoulYou will find the corpse of the Stelgaer in question at #16. You can use your Watcher abilities to communicate with its soul. You will learn that it was stalking the weaker hunter, Arthwn, but then got surprised by the strong hunter, Fiorm. The Stelgar and Fiorm apparently mortally wounded each other.

  6. Fiorm's dead body will be at the bottom of the waterfall at #7. You can use your Watcher abilities to commune with his soul and confirm that he and the Stelgaer killed each other.

  7. Now speak to Arthwn again and confront him with his lie. He will want you to maintain his story, since his tribe is the laughing stock amongst the Glanfathan tribes and will be even more so should the truth come out.

    The Benevolent dialogue option will agree with his request. The Cruel and Passionate replies insist on revealing the truth. The Stoic reply holds the choice in reserve. Note that it doesn't matter what you say now, you're not committing yourself to a decision just yet.

  8. Speak to Ridai again. It boils down to that the truth will be revealed before all in front of the Anamenfath who will render judgment. Ridai indicates an intention to summon Arthwn.

  9. Now it's time to speak to Anamenfath Bethwyl, who is at #4 on the map of the Passage of Six. You now have to make a choice, whether to maintain Arthwyn's lie or expose the truth.

  10. If you choose to side with Arthwyn, one way to do that is to select the Deceptive option all three times: that Fiorm exiled himself, that it was Arthwn who killed the Stelgaer, and that Fiorm shamed himself by exposing Arthwn to danger who survived nonetheless.

    Another way is to select the Honest option that Fiorm is dead, but then choose the Deceptive options that it was Arthwn who killed the Stelgaer, and then that Fiorm died in combat with the Stelgar but Arthwn managed to finish it off.

    Either way will lead to Bethwyl deciding in favour of Arthwyn. Arthwyn will also reward you with a Hunting Bow called Lenas Er.

  11. If you want to side with Ridai, then you need to first select the Deceptive option that Fiorm went into exile, then the Honest option that it was Fiorm that killed the Stelgaer, and then the Deceptive option that Fiorm went into exile for having needlessly endangered Arthwyn.

    That will lead to Bethwyl deciding in Ridai's favour. Ridai will reward you with a spear called Delem Rawdha.

  12. A third way is to select Honest dialogue responses all the way through: that Fiorm is dead, that it was Fiorm who killed the Stelgaer, and that Fiorm chose to fight the Stelgaer by himself when it was supposed to be a group effort but Arthwn lied about getting the kill aftewards.

    Bethwyl will decide that both Arthwn's and Ridai's tribes brougth shame upon themselves. Bethwyl will also reward you with a sword called Sheathed in Autumn.
